Marriage is any legally or formally recognized Union between a man and Woman for the purpose of establishing a family. EKWUOMA Community, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State yesterday celebrated the Traditional Marriage Ceremony between: Victoria Olonma Amaechi And Kizito Chinedum Asoegwu as the couple fulfilled the historical laws, rules, customs, beliefs, and attitudes that prescribe the rights and duties of partners as well as accord status to their future offsprings.
Victoria Olonma Amaechi (Now Mrs Victoria Olonma Asoegwu) is of the Families of Mr. Samuel Nat Amaechi of Ohum Umbutu Amairinaisa, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Abia State, while Mr. Kizito Chinedum Asoegwu is of the Families of Chief Asoegwu Paulinus Oke-Nze (Nwarupuoaku) of Azia, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and were yesterday both joined together in a traditional Marriage ceremony.
A Professor of Economics, University of Benin, Edo State, Professor Mercy Ada Anyiwe yesterday being Sunday, 11th Day of September, 2022 witnessed the ceremony at EKWUOMA Community, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State. In a separate interview with newsmen, Prof Mercy Anyiwe prayed for God’s divine provision, protection and wisdom upon the couple as she wished them a happy marriage and family life.
She stated that, “it is God’s will that the two couple: Victoria and Kizito be joined in holy matrimony as husband and wife, while she then thanked God for the success of the traditional Marriage ceremony between her ward (Victoria) and Mr. Kizito Chinedum Asoegwu and gave all the glory to God.
The Traditional Marriage Ceremony was attended by the dignitaries from the families of bride and bridegroom, friends, relatives, well-wishers and community Chiefs and members, Professors and others in celebration of the union as the bride prize of Victoria Olonma Amaechi was paid coupled with sounds of music and merriment that garnished the traditional rites event at EKWUOMA Community, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The bride and bridegroom while speaking with the media at the event, also appreciated the guests for honoring the invitation of the traditional Marriage ceremony and prayed for God’s protection as people journey back home to their various destinations.
