The Delta State Chairman, African Democratic Party Congress (ADC) , Engr. Okolie .C. Austine, has debunked the alleged malicious and fabricated publications that its party has been merged with the leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State as he described media reports as unfortunate, while he calls for calm amongst party members in the State, urges Omo Agege, sanctioned ADC members by party’s National leadership to retract statement within 24hrs.

Engr. Okolie .C. Austine made this remark today being on Saturday, January 4, 2023 in a press statement as signed by the Delta ADC State Chairman, and party’s State Secretary, Apst. Napoleon Ebu Ebi made to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital as he clarifies the rumours, media reports that Delta ADC structure had been merged with APC, collapsed to support the Delta Governorship Candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege.

Delta ADC Boss stated that, its party depends on God and hardwork for his victory in this year’s 2023 general elections in Delta State as he described APC’s publications as unfortunate, gullible, malicious and fabricated. He said: “All our Candidates are still in the race. Delta ADC, we remain focused and determined in delivering dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the State”.

The statement by Delta ADC reads in parts: “Delta ADC is not for sale. Those detractors, expelled members who claimed to had collapsed Delta ADC structure had been long expelled from the party since two weeks ago. They no longer represent the interest of the party in our state. This is to caution the APC Governorship Candidate, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege. And we urge him and other detractors to retract their malicious and fabricated publications”.

You could recalled that some days ago, Delta APC, Ovie Omo Agege media in a viral media reports allegedly stated that Delta ADC had collapsed it’s structures to support his Governorship race in Delta. Contrary to this, early hours of today, Delta ADC led by Engr Okolie .C. Austine and party’s State Secretary, Apst. Napoleon Ebu Ebi on behalf of the party’s leadership in the State debunked the media reports on merger with Delta APC.

The Statement by the new Delta ADC Chairman reads further: “Delta ADC today has called on general public to disregard such devilish and fake advert by Delta APC, party’s expelled members; that Delta ADC is not and can never be for sale. Delta ADC party Candidates for the 2023 general elections, its structure is intact at all levels. He said that his party is busy campaigning in Delta and cannot by any means yield to the antics of those already sanctioned, expelled since two weeks ago for anti-party activities and financial misappropriation”.

“We must commend our National Chairman, Ambassador Raph Okey Nwosu for his fatherly support. We must also commend our Gubernatorial Candidate for the 2023 general elections in Delta State, Ambassador Efe Ekure, party leaders, the entire State party leadership and members as we in this press statement debunk Omo Agege’s malicious, fabricated reports from Delta APC”.

” Aside our press statement, Delta ADC, we wrote to Delta INEC, Security agencies- Police, DSS in Delta State to this effect. We use this medium to inform Deltans that, in this year’s 2023 general elections, all our candidates in Senatorial, Federal House of Representatives, State Houses of Assembly, the State party structure and LGAs, wards political structures are all intact”.

“Delta ADC has replied Delta APC, Omo Agege and other expelled members to retract such alleged malicious publications, deformation of character within 24 hrs or face legal action. Delta Delta ADC State Chairman, Engr Okolie .C. Austine in a press statement, and letter as copied to Delta INEC, Security agencies-Police, DSS in Delta as authenticated, that those detractors were no longer members, not representing the interest of the party, Delta ADC”.
