Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, Vice-Chancellor, Crown University, USA, has congratulated Saheed Ajayi PhD on his recent appointment as Professor by top University in England, “Leeds Beckett University (LBU)”, established since 1824; formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) and Leeds Polytechnic, a public University in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England with campuses in City Centre & Headingley.

His Royal Highness, HRH Duke of The Kingdom of Atlantis made this remark today being on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in a press statement personally signed by him which was made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital by UNESCO Laureate’s Executive Assistant On Media, Publicity and Communication Matters, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as Aremu gives thanks to God on Saheed’s emergence as LBU’s Professor of Digital Construction & Project Management.

The global Five Stars Professor, Aremu while thanking God for Saheed’s upliftment, then hailed Saheed Ajayi PhD to had attained the apex of his career, his high flying academic excellence. He noted further that, the IWO, Osun State, Nigerian born Professor and Director of Construction Informatics and Digital Enterprise Laboratory (CIDEL) has made Nigeria, Africa proud in England as a well dedicated, seasoned lecturer and Global academia in the field of sustainable construction, construction Informatics, competency based modelling, Building information Modeling, BIM to mention but a few.

VC CUICI, USA and UNESCO Laureate who expressed joy over Saheed’s academic upliftment, success and attainment to the apex educational position in Leeds Beckett University (LBU), England, highlighted Saheed’s achievements and academic background as a hard-working Nigerian and England University’s Professor. The Statement reads in parts: “Saheed O. Ajayi has bagged [BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, PGCert AP, FHEA, MCIOB]. He is currently a Professor of Digital Construction and Project Management”.

“Saheed is the Director of Construction Informatics and Digital Enterprise Laboratory (CIDEL) at the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing, Leeds Beckett University. His research interests are in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Sustainable Construction, Competency-based Modelling and Construction Informatics (the use of Digital Technologies such as Big Data Analytics, IoT and Machine Learning in Construction). He has published over 90 scholarly articles and conference papers in these areas”.

“Saheed holds a PhD in Construction and Architectural Management, MSc in Sustainable Architecture and Healthy Building and a BSc (Hons) in Architecture. Prior to joining the academia, he has worked in various capacities within the construction industry as a design/project architect and construction project manager. Over the years, he has been involved in various collaborative and multidisciplinary research projects, involving key players within the UK construction industry. He has executed various externally funded projects with a combined value of up to £7.5 million”.

“As a lecturer, his teaching is underpinned by the concept of “students as partners”. As such, he believes in a collaborative learning environment where students are increasingly engaged and involved in learning and teaching assessment, pedagogical consultancy, subject-based inquiry and scholarship of teaching and learning. He enjoys using various technology-enhanced teaching resources for enhancing students’ engagement and experience. Dr Ajayi is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) and a Fellow of Higher Education Authority (FHEA)”.
