The Chairman, Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA), and Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Investment Matters, Mr. Paul Nmah has said that Delta State Government led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is delivering on its various economic and industrial policies in line with the administration’s Stronger Delta Agenda mantra
DIDA Boss made this remark in a speech presented on the occasion of EXHIBITION OF BAJAJ KEKE AUTO TRICYCLE TO BE MANUFACTURED AT OKPANAM BY STALLION GROUP AUTO KEKE LIMITED, which took place on Thursday 9th November, 2021 at CENOTAPH, Okpanam Road, Asaba, Delta State capital.
Nmah stated that DIDA has remained in steadfast in the promotion of and facilitation of investments into Delta State and this efforts can be seen in the entrance of Stallion Auto Keke Ltd into Delta State.
In his words: “I am very delighted that the occasion of the formal exhibition of Auto Keke Bajaj Tricycle to be manufactured at Okpanam here in Delta State has finally been actualized. It is worthy of note that DIDA has also attracted numerous investments into Delta State which will be unfolded as time goes on”.
“Permit me to say at this that stallion Auto Keke Ltd coming into Delta State will open up other opportunities in the areas of job creation and connecting businesses which are among the pedestal the SMART agenda is hinged”.
” I assure you all, especially stakeholders in the transport sector that Delta State Government through the activities of DIDA will continue to ensure that your interests are taken into consideration and also protected”.
“I thank you all for being part of this epoch making event and urge us all to remain steadfast in supporting the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on policies geared towards delivering on his mandates”.
Speaking further, Governor Okowa’s Chief Economic Adviser, Hon. Kingsley Emu stated that Stallion Group has existed for the past 52 years with considerable investments and over the period, Automobile Industry has Rice Milling plant, Fish farm, andfertilizer plant, while thanking Stallion Group team, and Comrade Obi Nzete, the President, Delta State Keke Riders Association of over
10, 000 members of the Union in the state on deep insight and meeting up to SAKL’s specifications.
In the words of the Delta State Chief Economic Adviser, Hon. Chief Kingsley Emu: “Today’s event is therefore the culmination of the marketing efforts of DIDA in successfully attracting Stallion Group to establish Stallion Auto Tricycle (Keke) Manufacturing Plant in Delta State”.
“This will replicate their successes in Delta State to boost employment generation, wealth creation, skills acquisition, ease last mile movement, enhance the state’s IGR and increase economic activities because of the huge demand of Keke in Delta State, South-south and South-East Nigeria”.
“The Keke Tricycle plant shall consulate under a PPP arrangement between Stallion Group and Delta State Government. Delta State Government to subsidize a limited quantity of Keke to be produced. Delta State Government to provide a suitable land at Okpanam for 10years lease for take off of project and 10 hectres Permanent site at Delta Rest Park, Umunede-Umuhu”.
“Delta State Government to provide 150 small sheds which SAKL will use to creat mechanic workshops across the state. Delta State Government to promote empowerment programmes for the Youths by supporting SAKL to mobilize 2,000 mechanics for training; costs of experts and tools as starter packs to be provided by SALK. And upon establishment of the Keke plant SALK to relinquish, cede 3% equity shares to Delta State Government”.
Also, most importantly that, Stallion Group has acquired Volkswagen of Nigeria (VON) at Badagry, Lagos which was turned into a motor Assembly complex producing Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Audi, Iveco, Changan, BAJAJ Keke, company currently Nigeria’s foremost Automobile Industry and a leading Global Brand with modern Automobile showrooms across the country.
The Managing Director, MD, Stallion Auto Keke Ltd, Manish Rohtagi in his speech stated that the company is committed to working shoulder to shoulder the key policy makers and Government bodies to ensure that automobile sector contributes significantly to Nigerian economy.
In his words: ” Stallion Group Auto Keke Ltd is Automobile Assembly plants training as mechanics and Assemblers, the official distributor for BAJAJ intracity 3Ws, 4Ws wheelers business in Nigeria known for durability, speed, manuverability, customer feedback in driving innovation and product”.
