Joyce Ogochukwu Nsaka, Female ADC’s, Nigeria’s Youngest Presidential aspirant has enjoined Youths to aspire for leadership positions to win come 2023 general elections in the country to exercise their political rights, show their talents, and sense of creativity to impact positively to Nigerian economy, promote sound political legacy and Exemplary leadership.

Joyce Nsaka, a Development professional, who featured as one of the guest speakers on the theme: “The Role of Youth In Politics & Nation Building” spoke pen-ultimate weekend at National Youth Council Hall, Akpakpava Road, Benin City, Edo State capital during the party’s Edo State, LGAs, Wards Congress shared her thoughts on why Nigerian Youths should participate in politics.

Joyce Ogochukwu Nsaka while presenting her speech to thousands of people that attended the events at the venue, commended the Youths and Women, ADC party faithfuls for turning up enmass. Speaking further in that occasion, she shared some lights on some burning issues on Nation building to awaken the minds of Youths towards taking up leadership roles in Nigeria. She said: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose . So it’s important we understand purpose and the time to fulfill it”.

“The youths make up about 70 percent of the nation’s population. And this implies that the youths must be fully involved both in politics and in every sector of the economy”. She posited that, insecurity is the major cause of economic downturn. she added that, youths are very intelligent and energetic but if they are not engaged in doing the right things, they will be recruited for the wrong purposes such as banditry/ insurgency, kidnapping, pipeline vandalisation and others.

She also stated that, the present arrangement short circuits/constricts the ability of youths to get into the political space as one will imagine that the purchase of form for some political positions can gulp up to 40 Million Naira thereby making it difficult for some capable and decent Youths to aspire for leadership position.
According to her, the above scenario will only give opportunity to those with ill-gotten wealth to aspire to win and then pass on the evil legacy from one generation to another.

Joyce Ogochukwu Nsaka while providing the way forward to this ugly situation where some decent Nigerian Youths have found themselves, then stated: “Each and every one must begin to show good example by adding value to others, starting from our neighborhoods. There are services that can be provided, that do not require spending so much money. Reaching out to people and showing love and to one another is a powerful way to get genuine followers who are mentored to do likewise. In the forthcoming elections, its important that Youths do not sale their birth rights for peanuts because the natural resources in our nation is for all of us to enjoy and live a comfortable life”.

“The roles of the older generation is to impact knowledge and give a shoulder for the younger generation to thrive.
Therefore the older generation cannot talk about solving unemployment issues when they are not giving room for the younger generation to occupy. The government must make youths a priority and establish laws/policies that will bring out the best in youths.
And the time for youths to take charge is Now”.
