The Leadership of Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Delta State Chapter led by Comrade Emeka Nkwoala has condemned in strong term the killing of innocent people across the country, especially in the Northern and Eastern Nigeria as Party described situation as worrisome.

Delta ZLP in a communique made available to some group of Journalists at Party’s State Secretariat in Asaba, Delta State capital, which was duly signed by the duo of the Party’s State Chairman, Comrade Emeka Nkwoala, and State Secretary, Marcpherson Ebenobe after an extensive meeting of the group condemned the rising spare of kidnapping, killings in the country.

Delta ZLP Leadership commenting on the recent collapsed church building, Salvation Ministries Church Building, the ugly incidence that occurred on Tuesday, 14th January, 2022, a church situated at along Okpanam Road, Asaba commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the timely set up panel of inquiry to investigate trend.

Delta ZLP while commending the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for the infrastructural development across the three Senatorial Districts of the state, then urged Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to complete the on-ongoing projects before May 2023.

The Leadership, proffering solutions to the problems of insecurity in Nigeria, the party said:”We commiserate with the families of the deceased. We urge Government to bring the perpetrators to book”.

“We condemne in strong term the rising spare of insecurity is worrisome. And the killings of innocent people, security personnel in the Northern and Eastern part of the country is worrisome”.

“We implore President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to immediately set up judicial panel of inquiry over the incessant killings of innocent people across the country, especially youths”.

Also, on the Delta church building collapse, Salvation Ministries, Okpanam Road, Asaba, the leadership said: “We commended the investigative panel of inquiry set by the Governor as headed by Dr. (Mrs) Helen Anazia. We recommend adequate compensation for deceased families and those injured”.

“We urge His Excellency to severely deal with all those culpable to serve as deterrent for all those who cut corners”.

Speaking further, the leadership delved into some sundry, burning issues in Delta, Edo state and few other states ; Teachers Pension and forced Vaccination as the group said: “On the issue of Teachers’ pension in the state, we urge the Governor to dialogue with Teachers in the state”.

“ZLP Condenm in strong term every form of ‘Forced Vaccination as done in Edo and few other states. We urge our people to make themselves available to receive the Vaccines so as to prevent themselves from contracting the deadly Corona Virus and Omicrom Variance”.
