….Chief Fred Obi Says, APC, PDP, Political Parties Are for the Rich.
….Says Costs of Nomination Forms, not for the Youths and beginners.

Move by the spirit of patriotism and good citizenship, the Delta State Chairman, Accord Party(AP), Chief Fred Obi has Lambasted the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the leading opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria for high costs of nomination forms pegged for Nigerians vying for different elective positions in their various States and Nigeria in general.
The media learnt this from Delta Accord Party Boss, Chief Fred Obi today being 23rd April, 2022 at the Party’s Secretariat in Asaba, Delta State Capital while fielding questions from Journalists.
Fred Obi who was also the Former Delta IPAC Boss frowned at the insensitivity and greedy attitude of the two “big” political parties in Nigeria.
He said: “Democracy is now completely hijacked by the big and Powerful Men in our Country, how can you tell me that a beginner who has all it takes and would want to contribute meaningfully to our democratic processes be able to afford these forms”? He queried”.
Recall that PDP’s Nomination forms were pegged at N40M for Presidential Aspirants, N21M for Governorship Aspirants and others as well as the thursday, this week’s release of the costs of nomination forms at N100M for Presidential Aspirants, while Governorship Aspirants N50M and others for All Progressives Party (APC) for people vying for different elective positions Nationwide.
Chief Obi went further that, “The Painful and annoying thing is that, they claim to be giving discount to the Youths, the Women and the Physically challenged in the Society. According to him, it is just a ploy to deceive the Public.
He stated that “now, for the purpose of argument, and let’s accept it that it is true. How much is the 50% of Two Million Naira? No matter how you make your calculations it is still on the high side beyond the reach of Young Men and Women in our Society.”
The above development according to Delta Accord Party Boss, Chief Fred Obi has attracted nationwide criticisms, he stated that, the two Political Parties are insensitive to the plight of citizens and the ordinary Men and Women that are desirous to give Service to their Nation.
“This has completly shot door against the Nigerian Youths as only few with Political god Father can afford such amount”.
“These two Political Parties are bent on disenfranchising the Youths contesting elections”
He went further that “I will not entirely blame these Political Parties, honestly it’s not their fault. It is the fault of those running after them, you know why, because we are all lazy, nobody wants to work especially those in the Political arena”.
“All they want is a ready made food, otherwise we have 16 other Political Parties in Nigeria, non want to join them because in some of their views, they want Political Parties with large followership, how did they get to that level?
They have forgotten that some Persons worked so hard to get them to that level”
He told newsmen in Asaba that Accord Party is different from all other Political Parties as it has brought the costs of its forms so low that be afforded by average Nigerians. He added that, APC, PDP forms can only be afforded by fraudulent and corrupt political class in the country, or those groups of Youths that are into one crime or the other.
“In as much as i would want to accept that the Political Parties need to generate revenue for the day to day running of the Political Party Offices Nationwide, asking Party members to pay such a humongous amount to collect forms is in my view seen as wicked and anti-democratic principles and progress”
” I was already complaining that Forty Million Naira of PDP was on the High Side, before you know it, here comes that of the APC, honestly if you have worked hard for your Money, you wouldn’t want to spend it carelessly, it is only those that have stolen money from somewhere, Drug Barons and maybe the Yahoo Yahoo Men and Women that can spend such to buy the nomination of interest Forms, if you have worked hard for your Money, you can’t throw it away like that”
He argued further that “If you have spent such on the forms, how much are you going to use to run your campaign properly?”
“That means, Politics and Political Offices are for the Rich only”
He then call on Nigerians to resist Political Parties that are bent on plunging Nigerians into perpetual poverty, insecurity and untold debts.
“A Political Party have completely thrown this Nation into a huge debt both domestic and external debts, maybe they are seriously looking for a way to recoup some of the money to repay the huge debt they have piled for the next administration”
