NCSU Progressiives have urged Comrade Hector Nnadi (JP) to contest the forthcoming Chairmanship of the Nigeria Civil Service Union federal council.
According to Team Progressives , they are in custody of information on giant strides Comrade Hector has achieved in the Federal Ministry of Aviation and also the sacrifices he has made to ensure that the Union is bounded.
They outlined these achievements of Comrade Hector (JP) in the Aviation Sector to include;
*introduction of the Annual Aviation Workers’ Week & Award Night ( AWWAN) this program
has been sustained annually for the past Eight years,
*Annual Sectorial Stakeholders Retreat, ASSR,
*One on One with the Honourable Minister of Aviation
*Establishment of the Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum ( JATUF),
*Annual Solidarity Conference at Havana Cuban ,
*Aviation Stakeholders Conference,
*Labour Peer Review Program, Nairobi, Kenya,
*International Transport Federation programs, Ghana and many others.
- facilitating International Capacity Building of more than 100 labour leaders from the Ministry of Aviation in, Accra, Nairobi, Kigali, Montreal, Singapore, Havana, Johannesburg, Addis Ababa etc
- Union participation in the Ministry’s statutory roles in oversight duties of project monitoring and Christian/ Muslim pilgrimage Exercise
- Sustained bumper Staff Welfare Package for the past 8 years
- Protection of Workers at the workplace and environment
- Strong voice for the Workers, etc.
The team led by its secretary,Comrade Abubakar said comrade Hector Nnadi ( JP) has shown Leadership capacity by ensuring that the NCSU remained the Joint Union Council Chairman and Secretary for almost 8 years without any challenge.
Stressing that he has remained the Forum Secretary of the Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum ( JATUF) an auspices of all the National Aviation Unions. A body he initiated
They admonished members of the Union to “follow who know road and to come to aviation ministry and ask questions”.
They appealed to Comrade Nnadi to replicate what he had done in the JCNC at the NCSU.
“omrade Hector, please come over to the Federal Council and work with the young dynamic new National President of our great Union and turn things around.”
“comrade Sunday Adeleye who’s an experienced loyal Union man needs the likes of Comrade Hector Nnadi to change the narratives in the labour movement from the NCSU perspective”.
They recalled that Comrade Hector Nnadi had stepped down for 2 different chairmen of the Council at the instruction of the NCSU leadership.
He also sacrificed his ambition in the last election and stepped down in order to accommodate the only female gender in the Council today in that election.
Comrade Hector fully paid his financial obligation during that election and never requested for refund. He also delivered all his delegates to the incumbent without a miss
“What else can this Honourable Comrade deserve from his Compatriots, if not to beckon on him to come and serve at this higher level.”
They called on the Leadership of the NCSU to please encourage this comrade to lead the Federal Council.
