As part of efforts to deepen the job of crime prevention, control and management as well as Inter-Agency Cooperation amongst Security Agencies in the State, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+, members of the Police management team has Commended the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor for donating Five Operational Hilux Patrol Vehicles to Delta State Police Command.

The media learnt this in a press statement by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital today being on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2022 as Delta State Police Command lauds gesture.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor who was able represented by the Brigade Commander, 63 Brigade, General Mayeranso David Saraso, stated that the gesture as tools to support the security agencies and enhance their performance towards providing adequate security of lives and property of citizens in the state.

CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ who described today as a day of happiness, has stated that the gesture exhibited by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor is one of a kind, uncommon, quite unbelievable.

He stated further that the gesture will in no small way boost the moral of the Police Personnels in the State as the CP assured the CDS that the vehicles will be put into good use, that it will enhance the fight against crime and criminality within and across the State.

The Statement by Delta State Police Command reads in parts: “Delta State Police Command on 23/8/2022, received five operational Hilux patrol vehicles donated by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor”.

“The Vehicle according to the CDS was donated in the Spirit of inter-agency cooperation and was presented on behalf of the CDS by the 63 Brigade Commander, General Mayeranso David Saraso. Major General Lucky Irabor who was represented by the Brigade Commander 63 brigade, noted that the gesture was to support and enhance the performance of the Police in the security of life and property across the State”.

“There is need to assist other security agencies with the required tools to help in security. The Patrol vehicles were received by Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+ and members of the Command’s management team”.

“The CP in his remarks noted that, it was a day of happiness for the Command, that the gesture exhibited by the CDS is one of a kind, uncommon and quite unbelievable, which will in no small way boost the morale of Police personnels in the State”.

“The CP assured the CDS that the vehicle will put into good use and it will definitely enhance the fight against crime and criminality in across State”.
