The newly inaugurated Member, Commissioner Representing Isoko Nation in DESSOPADEC Board, High Chief Hon Victor Egbo, has urged both PDP party faithfuls, entire Youths in Delta State to ensure that they continue in their unwavering support to Delta State Government led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa (both the outgoing and in-coming administration) so as to ensure successful take off of Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda and benefit from the dividends of democracy of the in-coming new administration.
High Chief Hon Victor Egbo made this remark while fielding questions from Journalists soon after the swearing-in, inauguration ceremony of the newly constituted Board Members of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESSOPADEC) which took place yesterday being on Friday, May 26, 2023 in Asaba, Delta State capital as he Commends Governor Okowa and other critical stakeholders for making his appointment as a member of the Board possible.
Egbo, The Commissioner Representing Isoko Nation in the Board of DESSOPADEC is also currently the Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa On Security Matters and Delta PDP State Youth Leader. He used medium to promise Delta State Youths both male and female, PDP party faithfuls of his unwavering support; effective and efficient representation for Isoko Nation and Deltans in general in DESSOPADEC Board as he assured them that better days ahead where they will all smile.
You could recall that yesterday being on Friday, May 26, 2023 in Unity Hall Government House, Asaba, Delta State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa inaugurated newly constituted 15 Board Members of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESSOPADEC) with the following persons as members: Olorogun John Nani as Chairman, Chief Festus Ochonogor as Managing Director, Mr. Efele Eyewu Nicolas-Executive Director, Mr. Favour Izoukumor-Executive Director, Chief Taleb A. O Tebite -Executive Director, Mr. Oghenekome Okpobor -Executive Director, Chief Victor Egbo-Member, Mr. Spencer Okpoye-Member, Chief Julius Egbedi-Member, Mr. Sylvester Ovbije- Member, Mr. Goru Jonathan Oghenekaro-Member, Mr. Azuka Enebeli-Member, Dr. Charles Olisa-Member.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa during the swearing-in, inauguration ceremony who commended the immediate past Board headed by Hon. Micheal Diden then charged the newly inaugurated members of DESSOPADEC Board on maintenance of peace and unity, embrace effective communication as an indispensable tool synergy essential for socio-economic development, shun nepotism, consolidate on the current achievements, chats new territories and break new grounds, and accelerate development in Oil Producing Communities in Delta State.
Speaking further to newsmen Egbo then thanked Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his fatherly advice and prayers for the members of the Commission during the inauguration. He also, Commended the Youths in Delta State (both male and female Youths); Women, party leaders, critical stakeholders for their constant support to Delta State Government, their positive efforts, unwavering support to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Oborevwori by ensuring that PDP retain power in Delta State as he noted that he would be the eyes of the Youths in the Commission, ensure that he would support other members of the the ultimate goals, objectives, entire mission and vision statement of the Commission.
In his words: “We give God all the glory for all that he had done for us. We commend Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, other critical stakeholders and those who made this appointment possible for everyone of us. My Chairman, Hon. Chief John Nani has said it all, we will work for the overall interest of the State and Oil-producing Communities. Ours is to ensure that Oborevwori’s, the M.O.R.E Agenda of the in-coming administration work very well for Deltans in line with our Commission’s establishment objectives. We must adhere to our Governor’s advice on not imposing projects on the people; that is line with project needs and environmental concerns in our various communities; projects must be fit-to- purpose and also promote strategic thinking, prudent spending and stringent project execution”.
At the close of the inauguration ceremony in Asaba yesterday was followed by reception held at the country home of High Chief Hon Victor Egbo at Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State as Delta Youths, Women, Party Leaders, PDP members dignitaries, critical stakeholders in Isoko Nation, Delta State grace occasion, celebrated with great merriments, refreshments at the venue and thanked God almighty for their Isoko son’s, Chief Victor Egbo’s appointment as DESSOPADEC Commissioner.
