The 235 volunteer/ support group leaders under the aegis of former Presidential Campaign Management Collegiate Council (PCMC), have commended Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his recent appointment of one of the groups’ leaders, Delta State Coordinator of People’s Mandate and Delta State Secretary of PCMC, Hon. Prince Philip Igwenwanne as Special Assistant SA Political to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a press statement today being Monday, August 6, 2024 which was made available to some group of journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital by the Secretary of Delta PCMC Directorate, and Special Assistant SA to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Political Matters, Honourable Philip Chukwuedo Igwenwanne and others as signed by the 235 group leaders as pressure group leaders commended the good gesture of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on inclusion of one the group leaders in his government.
You could recall that the 235 support/ Volunteer group leaders played vital roles during the electioneering campaign, and 2023 Governorship election proper in Delta State that gave landslide victory to Delta PDP, ushered in Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as Governor of Delta State. The leadership of 235 group leaders had before the celebration of Governor Oborevwori’s celebration of one year in office, agitated for the inclusion of some of the group members in the new DTSG administration under his watch.
The group leaders had lauded the Governor to had harkened to the voice of the majority by appointing Hon. Prince Philip Igwenwanne as Special Assistant to the Governor as testament of good leadership. The group leaders used medium to congratulates one of their members who doubles as the secretary of PCMC in Delta State on his appointment. The leadership had thanked the Governor for his leadership style, developmental Initiatives in the State aimed at promoting peace, and political stability.
The PCMC leadership while expressing gladness over the development, then called on the Governor to extend same gesture to some hardworking, vibrant groups’ leaders amongst them who had also laboured day and night before and during the 2023 Governorship election in Delta State that gave landslide victory to People’s Democratic Party (PDP). According to the leadership, this appeal for more inclusion of others in Oborevwori’s government as their new Initiative called “OLIVER ASKS FOR MORE”.
In a joint release, the leadership of People’s Mandate, has also commended the Executive Chairmen of Oshimili South LGA led by Obi Kelvin Ezenyili PhD, Aniocha North LGA led by Hon. Emma Chinye for appointing two of their group’s members as Supervisory Councillors; Hon Adim Dikedi, Hon Queen ndubuokwu as group sends words of Felicitations on their well deserved appointment.
235 group leaders under the above PCMC, has in a release today stated that the 235 Group Leaders are very pleased, happy with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over the recent appointment of one of their members. The group leaders while thanking the Governor passed a vote of confidence on his M.O.R.E agenda policy on Youth development, empowerment, enhanced peace and political stability in Delta State while restating confidence on the ability of the Government to more inclusive governance in the State.
“We commend you because this political appointment to one of us will bring development, political stability and improve the economic sectors in the state for sustainable, socio-economic development of Delta State,” the Group Leaders said in their statement.
