In recognition of his decades of Community Service and humanitarian efforts towards the promotion of grassroots development, global, Africa’s and Nigeria’s ICT, Legal, educational, Media Sectors development, Delta born Professor of Law, Cybersecurity & CyberForensics, Prof Alex Atawa Osondu Akpodiete, had been bestowed with Chieftaincy title of “ATAVWA” urhobo language translated to mean “The One That Tells the TRUTH”, ceremonial rites performed by, the Ovie of Okparabe Kingdom, Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, Nigeria, HRM, Andrew Oghenevwodo, Osakpa III.
Speaking to Victor Bieni Media (News Online) today being on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in a Telephone chat on the outcome of the event, ceremonial rites which took place on Friday, yesterday being Valentine’s Day Celebration as Prof Akpodiete bagged “ATAVWA” Chieftaincy title English Translation meaning: “THE ONE THAT TELLS THE TRUTH” as bestowed on him by the Traditional Ruler of his ancestral home at Okparabe Kingdom, Ughelli South LGA of Delta State.
Prof Alex Atawa Osondu Akpodiete, a philanthropist and political analyst is known for his Media, educational legal, social and ICT which he translated into community service, humanitarian efforts with global influence. While responding to the media questions, Prof Akpodiete had restated his commitment to community development and continuous service to humanity.
In his words: “On February 14, 2025, I was honored by my ancestral community as they bestowed on me the traditional chieftaincy title of “Atavwa’ by Ovie Okparabe of Kingdom”. ATAVWA meaning: “The one that tells the truth”. It is something I do not take lightly and will continue to do my best for my people and Africans in general”.
